Crafting is the final step of a three-part process to create usable items, after Gathering / Farms and Refining / Pastures. The great majority of equipment and consumable items in Albion Online are made via crafting.
Crafting is developed separately from both Gathering and Refining on the Destiny Board. In addition, Crafting is divided thoroughly into very specific specialties. Some crafting costs may be reduced by using Crafting Focus.
Cooking is a skill/proficiency a craftsman can choose in the world of Albion. Cooking entails the cooking of meals in order to temporarily boost your stats, as well as creating fish bait for your fishing rod. This skill is developed and trained at a Cook.
(1/1) NOTE: Currently, crafting any fish-related items will not contribute fame to completion of the single level for Sous Chef.
Special Fish Bait
Food can be enchanted through the addition of Fish Sauce. The higher tier your base food is, the more fish sauce you need in order to enchant the food. Each tier of enchantment (.1/.2/.3) takes a different kind of fish sauce. Basic Fish Sauce, Fancy Fish Sauce & Special Fish Sauce. In order to create these items you need Chopped Fish & Seaweed on top of the resources you need for the "base recipe".
