There are several different kinds of food and two primary uses for food; Nutrition and Player buff.

Nutrition: Nutrition is needed to maintain Guild Territories as well as crafting buildings. If a guild territory runs out of food, you lose ownership of it. If a crafting building runs out of food, you will be unable to use it until more food is added. Nutrition is consumed when crafting at crafting stations and over time for guild territories. Every building has a favorite food and when you use this food on them, the nurtition is doubled.

Player buff: When a player consumes food, they are given a buff. The type and potency of the buff is determined by the type and tier of the food that is consumed.

Simple meal that increases health regeneration outside of combat for a long period.
  Carrot Soup: Improves your health regeneration by 100% for 30 minutes.
  Greenmoor Clam Soup: Improves your health regeneration by 70% and your energy regeneration by 0.53% for 30 minutes.
  Wheat Soup: Improves your health regeneration by 190% for 30 minutes.
  Murkwater Clam Soup: Improves your health regeneration by 133% and your energy regeneration by 10% for 30 minutes.
  Cabbage Soup: Improves your health regeneration by 270% for 30 minutes.
  Blackbog Clam Soup: Improves your health regeneration by 189% and your energy regeneration by 14.2% for 30 minutes.

Omelettes

Solid meal that reduces cooldown periods and casting times for a long period.
  Chicken Omelette: Improves your casting speed and and cooldown reduction by 5% for 30 minutes.
  Lowriver Crab Omelette: Improves your casting speed and and cooldown reduction by 3.5% and reduces your energy cost by 3.5% for 30 minutes.
  Goose Omelette: Improves your casting speed and and cooldown reduction by 9.5% for 30 minutes.

Rushwater Lurcher Sandwich: Improves your maximum health by 6.7% and healing received by 6.7% for 30 minutes.

Beef Sandwich: Improves your maximum health by 13.5% for 30 minutes.

Thunderfall Lurcher Sandwich: Improves your maximum health by 9.5% and healing received by 9.5% for 30 minutes.

Goat Stew: Improves your damage by 5% for 30 minutes.

Greenriver Eel Stew: Improves your damage by 3.5% and improves your cooldown reduction by 3.5% for 30 minutes.

Redspring Eel Stew: Improves your damage by 6.7% and improves your cooldown reduction by 6.7% for 30 minutes.

Mountain Blindeye Pie: Improves your gathering yield by 10%, your load capacity by 15%, and your crowd control resistance by 22.5% for 30 minutes.

Pork Pie: Improves your gathering yield by 15%, and your load capacity by 30% for 30 minutes.
