General Information

All cities in Albion Online have a Marketplace. A Guild Island and Hideouts may also contain a Marketplace

Players may buy or sell items via the Marketplace

The Marketplace is local to that specific city and is not global

Prices on the Marketplace are set only by the players

The Marketplace is designated on the map by a yellow gavel

Players will be charged a tax when using the Marketplace

The Market Place does not have a log for the player's purchase or sell history

Items that are placed on the Marketplace for sale and not sold will expire after 30 days. When an item expires, it is placed in the My Orders tab

Before placing an item for sale, it must be at full durability. Players cannot buy or sell items on the Market Place that are less than 100% durability

The Marketplace contains four different tabs. You will find more information on these four tabs below:

  • Buy
  • Sell
  • Create Buy Order
  • My Orders

Market Place - Buy Tab

The Buy tab on the Market Place is the main screen to view and search items for sale

Players will find the search bar for Market Place in the top left. There are additional filters on the Market Place:

On the right of the Market Place UI, players will find an option to "reset the filter options"

When a player finds an item they wish to buy, press the "Buy" button. This does not complete the transaction, however. Player will be taken to the action menu where they may select the "Buy" option

When Buy is selected, players may also select the option to transfer completed purchases directly to inventory. If this option is not checked, the purchased items will appear on the "My Orders" tab of the Market Place

Market Place - Sell Tab

This tab is used by a player when they have an item in their inventory they wish to sell

Items are placed up for sale for 30 days

The item must be in the player's inventory; items cannot be sold if they are stored in the bank

Players will be able to view market history, any open Sell Orders by other players, and open Buy Orders by other players by selecting the yellow triangle located on the top right of the item. Note: this is only viewable when doing a Buy or Sell order

To sell an item, a player should click on the "Sell" button. This initial action does not sell an item. There are two options for a player to select to actually sell items:

  • Sell: By selecting the action to "Sell", this will automatically sell the item to the highest Buy Order open on the local Market Place. The Silver is deposited directly to the player's inventory once this option is selected
  • Sell Order: By selecting the action to "Sell Order", the player may set the quantity of the item they wish to sell and the price. The player will also see the Tax and Setup Fees associated with the Sell Order. Once a player is satisfied with their Sell Order setup, clicking "Create" will remove the item(s) from the player's inventory and place it on the Market Place for sale at the designated price. To view, edit, or cancel a Sell Order, navigate to the My Orders tab on the Market Place

Market Place - Create Buy Order Tab

The Create Buy Order tab should be used by a player when they wish to create a Buy Order for an item on the Market Place

To set up a Buy Order, navigate to the Create Buy Order tab. Search for the item on the Market Place you would like to set up a Buy Order for (top left of the Market Place UI). Please note, quality cannot be designated for a Buy Order

Players will be able to view market history, any open Sell Orders by other players, and open Buy Orders by other players by selecting the yellow triangle located on the top right of the item. Note: this is only viewable when doing a Buy or Sell order

Once the name of the item is located, click "Buy Order". Note: Clicking "Buy Order" does not set up the Buy Order; it takes the player to the menu to do so. Select the action "Buy Order", designate the number of the item you would like to buy and the price per item. The Player will also see the Setup Fee indicated here. Once the player is satisfied with the Buy Order, select Create Buy Order. The Player will receive a pop-up that confirms awareness of the Setup Fee. Note, the Setup Fee is per each item (if you buy 5 for example, there will be a charge for 5 Setup Fees)

To view, edit, or cancel the Buy Order, navigate to the My Orders tab

Market Place - My Orders Tab

If items are not picked up from the My Orders tab after 60 days, they will be permanently removed from the game and cannot be recovered

This tab is used by a player to view your Buy Orders or Sell Orders

Players may view, edit, or cancel their Buy and Sell Orders here

Players will be charged an edit fee when they edit a Buy or Sell Order

When a player cancels a Buy or Sell order, the Setup Fee is not returned to the player

When an item's sale is canceled, it will be returned to the player in the My Orders tab

Market Place - Order Book and Market History

The Market Place page for each item features a slide out interface for displaying the Order Book and Market History for the item. The slide out interface is toggled into or out of view by clicking the bookmarker with the small yellow triangle located on the upper right edge of the Market Place interface for the item.

The order book for the item is shown on the top of the interface with a scrollable list of all the Sell Orders in the system and a corresponding list of all the Buy Orders to the right. These are all the buy/sell orders currently posted and active by players. The user's orders, if any, are highlighted in charcoal.

Below the Order Book lists is the Market History graph for the item. It shows the market history over a user-selectable time scale as dual graph, with the price shown as a line and the volume traded as a bar. Hovering the mouse over the line or bar will show the exact value for that point in the graph as a tooltip. The values shown are for the current auction house only (city or hideout specific). Other cities or markets will have different values. To the lower right of the market history graph is the average price of the item over the time scale chosen. The user can choose one of three times scales: 4 weeks, 7 days, or 24 hours.

    • when clicking on buy in the marketplace pop up when, automatically the cheapest item with the same or higher quality gets selected (this may overrider quality selection, but makes sure player gets best item for cheapest price possible for his filter settings)
