Casting Mimic on an Arcane Staff wielder will grant you access to Magic Shock (the cooldown is independent from the Magic Shock you can select as your first-slot ability).
The ability goes on cooldown if you either cast the mimiced ability or do not cast it while you have access to it. If you cast the mimiced ability, Mimic uses the cooldown of the mimiced ability.
