Sword

Sword are Warrior weapons with a strong focus on continuously hitting enemies at melee range, with a broad set of utility abilities to assist in doing so. Sword are unlocked by the Sword Fighter node on the Destiny Board.

Once unlocked, the following weapons can be used:

Standard Weapons: Crafted using common resources, these weapons tend to be much easier to obtain than Artifact Weapons.

Artifact Weapons: Require specific artifact items to craft, start with higher Item Power than Standard Weapons, and benefit less from Enchantment Levels.

Abilities

  • Abilities are unlocked as you level up the Sword Fighter skill (see the Unlock Table below).
  • First, Second, and Passive slot abilities are common to all weapons, while Third Slot abilities are unique to each weapon and do not have a level requirement.
  • The default hotkeys for First, Second, and Third Slot abilities are Q, W, and E, respectively.

First Slot Abilities


Heroic Strike
Energy Cost 7 Strike the targeted enemy, dealing 273 physical damage. Applies one Heroic Charge on you. Each Heroic Charge increases your Move Speed and Attack Speed by 9% for 6s (stacks up to 3 times).

Heroic Cleave
Energy Cost 12 Swing your sword in a 6m radius around you, dealing 212 physical damage. Applies Heroic Charges on you based on the amount of enemies hit

Each Heroic Charge increases your Move Speed and Attack Speed by 9% for 6s (stacks up to 3 times).

Second Slot Abilities


Interrupt
Energy Cost 35 Bash the targeted enemy with your sword, interrupting the target's spell casting. Deals 272 physical damage. Increases your normal attack damage by 20% for each Heroic Charge on you (stacks up to 3 times) for 5s.

Iron Will
Energy Cost 32 Rush into battle, increasing your Move Speed by 20% and Defense by 25.926% for 3s. Grants you immunity to purges while active. Applies one Heroic Charge on you. Each Heroic Charge increases your Move Speed and Attack Speed by 9% for 6s (stacks up to 3 times).

Hamstring
Energy Cost 35 Attack the targeted enemy, dealing 211 physical damage. Slows by 38% for 8.76s.

Splitting Slash
Energy Cost 42 Split the earth in a 13m long line in the targeted direction, rooting all enemies hit for 2.17. Deals 473 physical damage.

Parry Strike
Energy Cost 9% Enter a defensive stance, becoming immune to damage while channeling for 0.8s (can't be interrupted). Reflects 100% of the damage you take as magical damage. At the end of the channel, swing your sword in a 5m radius around you, dealing 280 physical damage.

Mighty Blow
Energy Cost 35 Leap towards the targeted enemy, interrupting their spell casting. Increases your damage resistances by 53 for 3s. Deals physical damage based on the amount of Heroic Charges on you.

Enemies who are not mounted will be stunned for 0.8s on impact (ignoring crowd control resistance). Deals physical damage to the targeted enemy based on the amount of Heroic Charges on you.

This has been reverted to make them a notable force in ZvZ again. Crescent Slash has not yet found widespread use since the recent rework. Since it had so many effect possibilities per stack, the additional value of each was set very low to balance this. This was probably too low, however, so the value of 2-stack and 3-stack effects has now been increased.

  • Spinning Blades:
    • Range: 11m -> 14m
    • Jump Movespeed: 13 -> 20 (This means jump time changed from: 0.85s -> 0.65s)
    • Cooldown: 15s -> 20s
    • Energycost: 15 -> 17
  • Fearless Strike:
    • The slow has been removed
    • Instead the spell now reduces enemy resistances, depending on active heroic charges.
    • Range: 9m -> 11m

    While the enemies are in the air you follow up with a vertical smash, dealing physical damage in a line in front of and behind you based on the amount of Heroic Charges on you.
