Tiers are a key concept of Albion Online and the primary measurement of character strength and progress through the game -- all equipment, crafting materials, and buildings are assigned a Tier. To use a certain Tier players must earn the ability to use the features of a given Tier through the Destiny Board.

Except for materials, entities of a specific Tier are generally marked with a Tier-specific prefix, with the corresponding roman numeral shown on the item ingame:

  • Tier 1: Beginner
  • Tier 2: Novice
  • Tier 3: Journeyman
  • Tier 4: Adept
  • Tier 5: Expert
  • Tier 6: Master
  • Tier 7: Grandmaster
  • Tier 8: Elder
