Arcane Staffs

Arcane Staffs are Mage weapons that do limited damage but have excellent utility. They can shield your allies, boost their damage, or cleanse them of stuns and other negative effects. In addition, they can purge an enemy's positive effects, increase damage done to them, or drain their energy. Arcane Staffs are unlocked by the Arcanist node on the Destiny Board.

Once unlocked, the following weapons can be used:

Standard Weapons: Crafted using common resources, these weapons tend to be much easier to obtain than Artifact Weapons.

Artifact Weapons: Require specific artifact items to craft, start with higher Item Power than Standard Weapons, and benefit less from Enchantment Levels.

Abilities

  • Abilities are unlocked as you level up the Arcanist skill (see the Unlock Table below).
  • First, Second, and Passive slot abilities are common to all weapons, while Third Slot abilities are unique to each weapon and do not have a level requirement.
  • The default hotkeys for First, Second, and Third Slot abilities are Q, W, and E, respectively.

First Slot Abilities


Energy Bolt

Energy Cost 9 Deals magic damage to a single enemy. The less energy the enemy has, the higher the damage.
  • Minimum Damage (above 80% energy left): 263
  • Maximum Damage (below 20% energy left): 380
  • Against creatures: Always deals 293 damage.

Arcane Protection

Energy Cost 18 Casts a shield on an ally that absorbs 1325 of damage before Armor and lasts for 2s.

Additionally, if the target is wearing plate armor, the target's threat generation is doubled, and if the target is wearing any other type of armor, the target's threat generation is halved.

Second Slot Abilities


Frazzle

Energy Cost 27 Deals 279 magical damage, and increases the enemy's damage taken by 23.077% for 5s.

Energy Beam

Energy Cost 0 Forbidden arcane magic, which drains energy of a target. Can be cast on enemies or allies.

When cast on enemy: It drains 14 energy from the enemy and you restore 27 energy per second. Keeps draining as long as the enemy has more than 15% energy left.

When cast on ally: You lose 14 energy and the ally restores 27 energy per second.

Empowering Beam

Energy Cost 39 Channeled beam which increases the damage of an ally. The longer the beam is channeled, the stronger the damage buff becomes, starting with 20% and going up to 100%. Channeling lasts for up to 4.75s.

Motivating Cleanse

Energy Cost 10% Removes any movement-impairing and debuff effects for up to 5 allies in a 4m, and also increases the allies' movement speed by 40% for 3s.(Doesn't remove damage-over-time spells.)

Arcane Orb

Energy Cost 44 Shoots a sphere in the targeted direction, which detonates on enemy impact in a 6m radius. Deals 194 magic damage. and removes all enemy buffs except healing effects. Additionally also silences for 2.23s (Silence duration is doubled against creatures)

Great Arcane Staff


Time Freeze

Energy Cost 43 Freezes time for all enemies in a 5m radius for 4s. (ignoring crowd control resistance) Frozen enemies can't move or cast and are immune to all types of spells. Enemy players are also immune to damage.

Enigmatic Staff


Protective Beam

Energy Cost 0 Channels a protective beam on an ally. The target, and allies in close proximity, get a shield reapplied every second, which can absorb up to 962 of damage. Each tick consumes another 19 energy.

Black Hole

Energy Cost 54 A black hole, that pulls any enemy caught into its center, and then collapses dealing 436 damage and slowing them by 16% for 6.76s.

Occult Staff


Time Corridor

Energy Cost 54 Creates a corridor of altered time. Inside it, you and your allies' move speed is increased by 60% and normal attack speed is increased by 45%. Meanwhile, enemies' move speed is decreased by 30% while inside it. The corridor collapses after 8s as reality reasserts itself.

Malevolent Locus


The Void

Energy Cost 20% Creates an area which removes all positive effects from enemies and removes all negative effects from allies, while also Increasing the resistances of allies by 85. While channeling, the area grows from 3m up to 10m radius, and collapses once the channeling ends. The channel can't be interrupted and lasts for 6s.
