Island Farms
General Information
Albion Online features a system that allows players to grow crops, herbs, and animals.
Farming requires you to own a farm, Herb Garden, Pasture or Kennel. These can be built on brown fertile soil plots on player islands, with a level 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 islands having 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 soil plots respectively.
The crops, herbs, and animals can be used, sold, or crafted into food, potions, or mounts.
Crop Farming and Herbalism
Crop Farming and Herbalism allows for growing crops used for feeding animals, cooking food, and creating food and potions. Each plot can plant 9 seeds; they can be distinct or the same. All seeds need 22 hours to fully grow. Each harvested seed yields 3-6 of its crop (6-12 with premium) and gives 100 fame (+50 for premium). There's also a chance of getting an Earthworm with each harvested seed. You can water crops to increase seed yield at the cost of Focus. Each 100% of seed yield bonus always gives seed and more than 100% gives a chance of a second seed. For example, watering carrots gives a 200% of seed yield bonus or 2 seeds per planted seed.
To water crops, you can use focus. The focus amount you use is dependent on your specific specialty level on the specific type of plant or herb and can vary from 1000 focus points for no spec to 125 for full spec (100 spec).

Animal Breeding
Animal Breeding (Baby Animals)) allows for raising livestock that can be used for crafting mounts, and for creating food and potions. Each animal has its own offspring yield chance and time to grow (half the time for premium). Raw food must be fed to grow the livestock. The food can be either a plant (farm crops or herbs) or meat. Each 100% of offspring yield gives an offspring and more than 100% gives a chance of a second offspring. You can nurture livestock to increase offspring yield using Focus. The focus amount is dependent on your specific specialty level on the specific type of animal and can vary from 1000 focus points (no spec) to 125 (full spec / 100 spec). After fully grown each animal gives fame. The amount of fame varies according to the animal type.

Previously, the following behavior occurred:
After Patch 6:
This change is intended to help introduce newer players to combat without item loss (i.e. in yellow zones), and to avoid situations where players were confused about what happened to items. It should also improve the overall loot experience in Elite Dungeons, where a large percent of loot was previously destroyed by being knocked down repeatedly. Item destruction rate and durability loss rate upon death (killed by another player, suicide, etc.) are not affected by this change. |
Version 1.16.393.161355 | 4 March 2020 | Queen Patch 6 | Introduced a feature that will delay players from leaving a Hideout set as "Home" after respawning there multiple times. This bonus applies to all Armors, Weapons, and Offhands, and includes IP bonuses from basic Specializations as well as advanced Masteries. Enchanted gear will be calculated at the level of its base tier, i.e. T5.0 through T5.3 all receive the same 5% bonus. Sample case: if you get an additional 100 IP from your Destiny Board Masteries for swords, using a Tier 6.2 Sword will give you a 10% additional boost to that Mastery bonus, for a total bonus of 110 IP. |
