Ice Storm

An active ability found on the third slot of Glacial Staffs.

It is unlocked at mastery level 1.



Ice Storm
Energy Cost 70 Creates an Ice Storm which moves slowly away from the caster. Enemies caught in the Ice storm take damage every 0.5s, and are slowed by 15%. (Stacks up to 3 times.)

Mobs suffer 61 damage per second. Players take 137 damage per second. (This damage can't be reflected.)

Cast Time 1.5s
Range 5m
Cooldown 30s

Once one of the most feared weapons in large-scale fights, the Glacial Staff has unfortunately fallen off the meta significantly. To help bring back this unique playstyle, the damage output has been increased, and some utility improvements have been made including increased cast range and making cast direction independent of cast position.

  • Ice Storm (Glacial Staff):
    • The cast direction can now be chosen after the cast position
    • Cast range: 5m → 10m
    • Ice Storm travel distance: 23m → 18m
    • Damage per Tick (vs players): 60 → 72
    • Damage per Tick (vs mobs): 20 → 25

    • The slow effect no longer increases over time; instead, enemies inside the area are always slowed by 30% (ignoring crowd control resistance)
    • Damage vs Players: 45 → 60
    • Cast Time: 1.5s → 1s
  • Frozen Hell (Icicle Staff):
    • Cast Range: 11m → 14m
    • The slow is now applied independent of CC reduction; all enemies stay slowed while in the area
