  • Buff now persists when moving between black-zone regions
  • Overall duration reduced to 10 minutes (900s → 600s)
  • Buff is removed if leaving the black zone, with the following rules:
    • For this buff, Randomized and Static Dungeons entered via black zone entrances are considered black zones
    • The buff will thus not be removed when entering these dungeons, though it will drop off naturally after 10 minutes
    • For this buff, Roads of Avalon, Hellgates, and Corrupted Dungeons are not considered black zones, even if entered from a black zone, and will thus cancel the buff immediately
  • 31 March 2021Call to Arms Patch 2 and Hotfix 2.1
    • Moose have been added to the forest biome as a T6 Hide Mob
    • Their lootable offspring (Moose Calf) can be grown into adults in a pasture
    • Grown Moose can be saddled and ridden as a mount
    • Moose share a Mount Skin category with Giant Stags

    • Major world bosses (Undead Harvester, Keeper Earthmother and Morgana Demon Prince) no longer reset after being kited too far, and will instead choose another target on their aggro list
    • Undead Keeper Harvester's Field of Decay can no longer be removed prematurely
    • Morgana Demon Prince behavior updated:
      • Pursuit range: 30m → 20m
      • Crush Spirit ability now hits not only its target but also any enemy within 3m
      • Before casting Hell Rift, the Demon Prince will knock everyone back
      • Hell Rift hits will now also damage everyone within 3m of the target hit by the spell
      • Hell Rift damage reduced
      • Before casting Ray of Blight the Demon Prince will pull everyone into melee range

    3 March 2021Rise of Avalon Patch 15 (Season 12 Patch)The Fame buff in these locations now comes primarily from Elite mobs, and stacks incrementally (+1%) with each mob killed. World Bosses no longer give a flat 20% increase, though they still contribute to the Fame buff at the same 1% rate. Details:
    • Affected mobs: open-world Keeper, Morgana, and Undead Elite mobs and World Bosses
    • Each defeated mob gives a buff which increases PvE Fame (killing non-player enemies) by 1%
    • Buff is not increased by killing weaker mobs (Brittle Skeletons, etc.)
    • By repeatedly defeating mobs in the area, the buff can stack up to +50% bonus PvE Fame
    • Each stack is only granted to members of the party that kills the mob
    • Party members must be within 20m of the killed mob to receive the buff
    • Buff is lost on death or cluster change
    • World Bosses no longer give the 20% buff, but do still contribute to the stacking 1% buff
    • Buff is also granted by all Undead, Keeper and Morgana group mobs in non-instanced content (i.e. static dungeon locations in the open world)
    • Additional mob change: the lava puddle left behind upon death by the Elite Bound Molten Demon will no longer deal damage
    2 February 2021Rise of Avalon Patch 13 (Balance Patch)Overall Avalonian Changes:

    Lesser Avalonian Mob Changes:

    Knight:

    • Avalonian Shield reflects damage only every 0.3 seconds

    Assembler:

    • Drones will switch targets when they exceed a certain distance from their assembler

    Archer:

    • Helix Shot:
      • Now has a higher chance of striking targets
      • Cooldown: 22s → 18s

    Gate Core:

    • Attack range increased to match reset range

    Avalonian Boss Changes:

    Construct:

    • Momentum (the buff the Construct receives from each auto-attack):
      • Strength +10%
    • Colossal Swipe no longer has a blind spot, meaning you can no longer avoid the swipe by standing close to the Construct
    • Energy Discharge:
      • Damage now based on total Compensator Energy Status stacks
    • Beam:
      • Cooldown during phase 2: 10s → 8s
      • Damage now based on total Compensator Energy Status stacks

    Archmage:

    • Pursuit range: 35m → 30m

    High Priestess:

    • Shadow summons introduce their more dangerous abilities later in the fight
    • Divine Offering:
      • Duration: 29s → 35s
      • Areas now spawn closer to the High Priestess
    • Exorcism:
      • Now only summons Tainted Shadows for players within a Divine Offering area
      • Now also stacks a buff, Divine Righteousness, on the High Priestess for each player not within a Divine Offering area
      • Divine Righteousness increases the Priestess' auto attack damage, grants her healing over time, and is stackable
    • Purify:
      • Damage -25%

    Crystal Basilisk:

    • Divine Scales:
      • Defense Bonus doubled (+100%)
    • Divine Crystal Resonance now deals damage in a 3m radius around every target hit
    • Cleanse now also applies Holy Flames

    Knight Captain:

    • Avalonian Barrier reflects damage only once every 0.3 seconds

    Sir Bedivere:

    • Avalonian Bulwark reflects damage only once every 0.3 seconds
    • Sir Bedivere will drop his current target if it moves too far away
    • Earthbreaker:
      • Damage doubled (+100%)
    • Fate of the Unworthy:
      • Damage effect no longer removed immediately after leaving the aura's area of effect
    • Bladestorm:
      • Spawn position is now less predictable

    Avalonian Mob Fixes:

    • Fixed Sir Bedivere's boss "ring" visual
    • Fixed missing spell icon for Construct's swing attack

      • Elite version of the Undead Knight may now appear with the World Boss

      • Attack range of Undead Mages: 11m→ 9m
      • Elite Undead Archers now Enrage on low health, significantly increasing damage, knocking close enemies away, and firing Poison Arrow as a fan-shaped volley
      • Elite Undead Ghouls now jump at targets, inflicting high damage
      • Elite Undead Shades no longer drain energy, and instead select a target and teleport behind it; additionally, their normal attack damage is lower but now deals splash damage too
      • Elite Undead Mages now use stronger Frost Bombs in quick succession

    • Dryad: summons a poisonous cloud
  • Avalonian Wizard Bomb spell (Energy Discharge):

    • Rewards for killing Veteran and Elite Enemies have been buffed at the following locations:
      • World Boss Locations
      • Static dungeons (dungeons that are displayed as fixed points on the map)
    • The following reward increases apply:
      • Fame rewarded: +30%
      • Overall Silver and Silver-related loot drops: +30%
    • The overall window in which a given veteran mob can respawn has increased:
      • Previous: Between 15 and 25 minutes
      • New: Between 15 and 30 minutes
      • As a result, the average respawn time has increased from 20 minutes to 22.5 minutes
    5 May 2020Queen Patch 11 (Season 9 Patch) and Hotfixes 11.1, 11.2, 11.3Veteran Bosses (found in static open-world dungeons) and World Bosses in the Outlands now give Season Points. These bosses give the following base Season Point amounts when defeated:
    • Tier 5: Veteran Boss - 3 points
    • Tier 6: Veteran Boss - 4 points
    • Tier 7: Veteran Boss - 4 points / World Boss - 40 points
    • Tier 8: Veteran Boss - 5 points / World Boss - 50 points
    • You will earn more Season Points the closer you are to the center of the Outlands, with a maximum of up to 6x the base amount.

  • 20 January 2020Queen UpdateThe Avalonians are a new elite faction found in Elite Randomized Dungeons, which spawn in all T6-8 Outlands zones and offer a high-level challenge to groups of 10-20 players. Along with the highest-value loot in the game, these dungeons contain a shrine that offers a week-long Fame increase for killing mobs. In addition to the Avalonian Basilisk mount, tools, and foods already introduced with the Standalone Season, players can now obtain artifacts and shards from defeated Avalonian mobs which can be crafted into three different sets (cloth/leather/plate) of Avalonian Artifact Armor with a wide range of new abilities. (Currently all levels of this armor have the same appearance when worn, tiers will be differentiated in an upcoming patch.)
    4 January 2020Changelog: Avalonian Invasion Third Phase
    • In addition to the Avalonian Mage world bosses, which will continue to give Season Points, the Avalonian Construct, a new world boss, will appear in the Outlands. They will appear at random throughout the Outlands, spawn approximately every 5 hours, are suited for groups of 10-20, and give Season Points as follows:
      • Anglia and Glouvia: 80 Season Points
      • Cumbria and Siluria: 112 Season Points
      • Mercia: 144 Season Points
    • In addition to the Avalonian Construct, the new Avalonian Assembler will also appear in the open world.
    7 December 2019Changelog: Avalonian Invasion Second Phase
    • Starting today, three new Avalonian foes will appear in the open world: the Avalonian Attack Drone, Avalonian Spearman, and Avalonian Winged Guard.
    • Starting today, all territory ownership will be reset and territories will become claimable. Territories can be claimed at one of two times:
      • Territories with a primetime starting at 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00 and 21:00 UTC can be claimed starting Saturday at 18:00 UTC
      • Territories with a primetime starting at 22:00, 23:00, 00:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00 UTC can be claimed starting Sunday at 01:00 UTC
    • Beginning with today's invasions, guilds will face off against new Avalonian enemies when attempting to claim territories.
    • Reminder: for the duration of the season, killing Avalonian Mage World Bosses gives Season Points based on the Outlands region in which they appear:
      • Anglia: 50
      • Cumbria: 70
      • Mercia: 90
    • As with regular Guild Seasons, you must be a member of a ranking guild for 75% of the season in order to receive Season Rank Rewards.

    • The Avalon Archer's Hitpoints have been increased by 50% and her Fame has been reduced by 33%
    • After extensive fasting and meditation, the Avalonian Acolyte's "Incense" spell has grown stronger
    18 September 2019Percival Patch 5 (Midseason Patch)The Elemental Lord has let himself go and is now slightly easier to defeat:
    • Speed and damage of his Fire Tornados has been reduced
    • His summons will deal more damage to him when they die
    • Once he is below 16% health, killed summons deal their original damage

    The Keeper Bear has mellowed out somewhat:

    • Enrage Cooldown: 2s → 4s
    • Charge Cooldown: 11s → 60s

    The Keeper Bolt Arrester has given some of his strength to his lightning spell:

    • Hit Points decreased by 40%
    • Getting hit by his lightning will now also slow the player

    The Keeper Witch boss has gotten trickier:

    • Added Ranged attack (range: 15m)
    • Melee and Ranged attacks have a shared cooldown
    • Reduced damage of Melee attack
    • Changed attack range to 10m
    • Explosion is now at target and not at caster
    • Explosion damage tripled: 300 → 900
    • Lastly, her visual spell effects have been cleaned up

    The Keeper Earthchild, in addition to her visual and audio makeover, has been reworked:

    • Her Earth Spirit Chant spell, which buffs allies' total HP and Damage inflicted, is now a ranged and channeled spell, which she casts at a targeted ally (the visual effects have been updated as well)
    • She also enrages irreversibly if all her nearby allies are killed

    The Keeper Stump has been working on his summoning technique:

    • His summons can now move, and leave broken ground behind them, which grasps and slows players who pass through it
    • Summons will gradually lose health and die as they move

    The Heretic Brawler boss has a few new tricks up his sleeve:

    • New Spell: Bloodhunt. Boss applies 3 stacks to himself, which he can use to inflict a cleave attack on targets in front of him.
    • Attack speed reduced, attack damage increased
    • Changed Hammer Stun behavior
    • Earlier enrage

    The Undead Governor boss has been practicing his Whirling Strike spell:

    • Cast time: 1.8s → 1.6s
    • Added a visual effect trail to the spell
    10 July 2019Percival UpdateNew Mobs and Shrines New mob types have been added to solo and group Randomized Dungeons for all factions. These include new trap- and nest-type opponents, as well as environmental hazards like explosives. Solo Randomized Dungeons introduce small combat shrines, which give a random combat buff to the first player who activates them, offering advantages in both PvE and PvP.
    10 July 2019Percival UpdateMob Changes

    Higher-tier mobs now have more armor instead of more health to compensate for the player's Reaver bonus damage. This means player damage dealt to mobs will be more or less equal across tiers - for example, if you deal 100 damage versus a tier 4 mob you will deal 90 damage versus a tier 8 mob. Previously, if you dealt 100 damage versus Tier 4 you would deal 400 damage versus Tier 8.

    Along with this change, the damage of poison potions versus mobs has been reduced to one-third of its previous value. Other mob changes:

    • Fame rewarded by standard open-world ("roaming") mobs has been increased by 25%
    • It is no longer possible to prevent Siphoning Mages from casting Iceblock
    • The Undead Reaper's Summoned Shades no longer die after their target leaves their follow range, but their health and damage will both be decreased
    • The Keeper Earth Aspirant now uses her spells sooner after summoning her aides
    • The Morgana Elite Demon Prince now correctly summons Tier 8 portals and demons when he himself is Tier 8
    • The Morgana Archfiend will now use his spells as intended
    • Rhinos have evolved and learned Charge, a dash at the current target

    • Reduced aggro range of most mobs from 8m to 6m
    • Reduced pursuit range of most Veteran and Elite mobs from 60m to 40m
    • Reduced drop chance of Hardcore Expedition maps

    • Added materials loot (runes, souls, relics) and faction capes to roaming mob loot

    Undead Mobs

    • Soldier's Frenzy channeling time reduced by about 30%

    Heretic Mobs

    • Non-veteran Bouncers use their Shield spell at 20% health (was 50%)
    • Weaponsmaster's attack range increased to 25m (was 15m)
    • Pyromaniac's Firecone spell now does a full rotation
