On the removal of links

Regarding this edit: "Removed old food pages from listing". All of the page links that were removed from the page are now orphaned. Is there a plan to fix this? I'm thinking that it would be better to have a page to display the links already setup as apposed to orphaning them. Or organizing them into groups on the existing page. It seems they could all be organized on one page instead of subgroups and a page for each subgroup. Your thoughts? -- Whipimedia (User Page) 19:30, 22 November 2015 (UTC)

I feel like the sub pages for each type of food could be all pushed onto one page int he food page and this would not be a problem. I personally like having more pages as it might allow for easier searching and updating in the future. About the orphaned pages, many of them are for items that no longer exist in the game and those should be deleted. As for the ones that still exist, they will need to be put onto pages that make sense for them to be on. The raw foods section doesn't make sense to go on the food page as they aren't actually Food. They would be better placed as links from the Butcher page and put into a collection of crafting materials or something like that.
If you know that a food product is no longer available, can you mark those pages for deletion? (Ref: I would do it but I don't know which foods have been removed. I see your point about raw foods. I think eventually we will have a relevant page, and also for seeds (if not already) and then perhaps a "farming" page to link all of them. Minor note, It will help with replying and signing notes on talk pages. -- Whipimedia (User Page) 20:06, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
I will mark the pages for deletion that I know have been removed. I think I will work on the Farming section after I finish up the food section and I will add the orphaned raw product pages there. Thanks for the links to the help pages. Very new to this wiki stuff but I'm picking it up fast! --Dastyruck (talk) 20:30, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
